Hear Rihanna’s new single

For the last few months we’ve heard that Rihanna was set to ditch the “bad girl”/S&M-ish image and dark tone of last year’s Rated R album. Now we can confirm that yes, RiRi is back to the pop sound that made her a star.

Today Rihanna releases the first single from her forthcoming album LOUD!, which will hit shops in November. The first single “Only Girl (In the World)” is a return to her pop roots, and has a real David Guetta club vibe to it.

During a webchat on her official site, Rihannanow.com, Rihanna shed some light on LOUD! “I didn’t want to go backward and remake Good Girl Gone Bad. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna. “I’m gonna miss the Rated R era too, but NOTHING compares to the album I just made.”
