10. Love In This Club (Performed by Showbiz Pizza Band)
A group of animatronic bears from the 80’s video-arcade pizza parlour hybrid Showbiz Pizza Place sing Usher’s Love In This Club. Highlights include a keyboard playing bear in a tuxedo, an adorable bear cheerleader, and most hilariously, a bear ventriloquist dummy singing Young Jeezy’s part. The best bear baby making music of the year.

9. Dog saves other dog
This one really tears at the old heart strings. On a busy highway in Chile, a dog has been hit by a car and is lying helplessly on the pavement. Then out of nowhere, another DOG comes and drags the first dog to safety. It’s a dog saving another dog! Tell me something cat lovers, would a cat ever save another cat in this situation?

8. Bill O’Reilly snaps
Everyone knows that Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly is a giant douche. But here’s proof that he’s always been a giant douche. Watch Bill absolutely lose it on a hapless producer while trying to tape the end of an episide of 80’s tabloid news show Inside Edition. F*ck it! We’ll do it live!

7. Dude Transports 20 Bricks On His Head
If you’re reading this and happen to work in the field of international wheelbarrow sales, make your way to Khulna, Bangladesh immediately. On second thought, don’t bother, because this dude can put 22 bricks on his head. And walk across a narrow plank of wood suspended over water. And presumably repeat this over and over again until the project is done.

6. Freestyle Rap Battle: Translated
A couple of square-sounding white guys turn an underground hip-hop battle into a rational, intellectual, easy to understand debate.
Sample: “Your argument denotes a lack of intellectual honesty on your part. It is my contention that this matter would best be solved with fisticuffs and I believe I will be victorious in this regard.”

5. Elderly Gospel Choir sings hip hop hits
The dopest, freshest, funkiest elderly gospel choir you’re ever likely to hear. Singing Eminem’s Lose Yourself, Chamillionaire’s Ridin’ Dirty, and most disturbingly, Nelly’s Hot In Herre (please blue-haired lady, don’t take off your clothes!), these old-timers put the broken hip in hip-hop.

4. Barack-Roll
A fresh twist on the Rickroll phenomenon - where a person provides a link he or she claims is relevant to the topic at hand, but actually takes you to the Rick Astley video for “Never Gonna Give You Up” - this mashup consists of clips of Barack Obama speaking the words of the song as it plays in the background. The best political viral video of the year, and further proof that Rick Astley will never go away. Sigh.

3. Thriller Lip Dub
This is an amazing lip dub of Michael Jackson’s Thriller performed by college students in France. It’s exceptionally entertaining because of its elaborate staging and seamless camera work. Oh, and the fact that about half of the students don’t seem to have a firm grasp on the English language. It’s the cutest thing to come out of France since…well…it’s the cutest thing ever to come out of France.

2. Bert And Ernie Gangsta rap
I always knew Ernie and Bert had a special secret, but I didn’t think it was that they were gangsta rappers. In this expertly edited Sesame Street mash-up, choice Sesame Street clips have been expertly synced to M.O.P’s hardcore hip hop song Ante Up to create a hilarious Ernie and Bert video of epic proportions.

1. Literal Take On Me
So here it is, the number one viral video of the year. The mash up that created a whole new way to watch and enjoy music videos. It’s the incredible Literal Take On Me, created by British filmmaker and musician Dustin McLean. McLean has re-written the lyrics to A-ha’s Take On Me to describe exactly what is happening in the music video. The new lyrics are hilarious, and vocals match the original seamlessly. (favourite moment: Bad mon-taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage!)
McLean has followed up with a couple more of these - Literal Head Over Heels and Literal Under The Bridge. Both are well done, but not quite the masterpiece of Literal Take On Me.
