Holy F*ck! Three things on a Monday afternoon that’s got me singing to the tune of Elvis Costello’s ‘Welcome To The Working Week.’ Ok, that song isn’t even relevant but it’s a Monday afternoon and we all need a little bounce to our step…

1. I’ve been keeping track of the development of Jose Saramago‘s Nobel Prize Winning project ‘Blindness’ ever since I heard Don McKellar was attached to it. Usually, I’m weary of any novel adaptations but when you’ve got somebody like Don McKellar behind it you know that you’re in for a treat.

Back History: Jose has been fending off potential adaptations by studio types for years but that changed when McKellar met up with him. Saramago gave him the nod of approval and Don had the daunting task of adapting the Nobel Prize winning novel into a feature film script.

Today: Me = Completely stunned at the cast and director attached to this film. Seriously, this is my dream cast:

Julianne Moore
Mark Ruffalo
Sandra Oh
Gael Garcia Bernal
Danny Glover

Need I say more? Let’s hope this movie won’t disappoint like the Hornby disaster ‘Fever Pitch.’

2. Pacey, uhhh Joshua Jackson, will be joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy! I wonder which ‘Mc’ he’ll be.. Perhaps McDuck?

3. Ok, this more of a downer rather than a pick-me-upper but nonetheless interesting. The Writers Guild of America approved a strike. How the funk does that affect us? Well my friends, if a deal is not made by October 31st we won’t be watching any new episodes of our favourite TV shows and films….And that’ll also mean that there’ll be more reality shiat on tv! Don’t they know that the muchmusic.com will perish if there aren’t new episodes of our favourite shows? HELLO, WE <3 TV!?!?!
