Hot New Bands of 2008?

NME.com has listed what MySpace thinks will be the top 10 British bands to look out for in 2008, along with predicting a few trends (like “Double Dressers” who will be friends who dress as twins… Whaa?).

Predicting music and trends is fun and all, but does it really stand up to the hype? Here is the MySpace list, linked to some of their MySpace pages, so you (the music fans) can decide for yourselves!

  4. Three Star Seed .. didnt even make the list are their canadian.. wtf.. they’re on tour right now playing shows all over ontario.. check them out.. hottest and nicest band around these days

  13. there’s a new band I found on myspace called Milk Plus, unlike the nme bands listed they’ve got some atttitude. Check them out let me know if it was a good tip?

  15. Everyone should check out the new Howerdell/Freese project, Ashes Divide. It follows in the veins of A Perfect Circle, but with Howerdell singing instead of Keenen.
    The list sucks by the way. The Cribs, The Joy Formidable, Bottomless Pit, Kate Nash, and August Burns Red are just a few of the artists to come out in 2008 that surpass anybody on that list
