How’s Your Claydar?

November 3rd, 2005

Naturally by now you’ve heard of the phenomenon of “Kalanadians” (Kalan Porter fans), but have you heard of “Claynadians” (Clay Aiken fans)? Claymates rejoice! I read an extensive article about this special group in DOSE the other day and it filled me with the fiery rage of a thousand angry suns, just because it was so surreal and unbelievable. This group apparently has its own vocabulary (whoops, that should be VoCLAYbulary) about all things Clay. A selection of excerpts:

AcClayaholics Claynonymous – what Clay obsessos call themselves
Clayby Boomers – most Clay fans are middle-aged women
Claytheists – people who are anti-Clay.
Claydar – Clay Aiken radar
BirthClay – the day that you became a Clay fan.

If you’re a Claynadian, you should join the group and become a Claymate. There’s an even more extensive VoCLAYbulary over here.
