Miley, Charlie and more!

The Olympics came to a close last night after two and a half weeks of upsets, triumphs, and lots and lots of national anthems being played. The world has learned a lot about Russia over the 22nd Winter Games. Some of their politics are disturbing. Their toilets leave much to be desired. They are killer at figure skating. Their president has the super power to never move his face. And so forth.
The biggest surprise that Russia had for the world had little to do with sports or politics or weird hotels. In fact, the thing we all learned about Russia last night is that…they’re kinda funny. Who knew?
During the opening ceremonies of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, the fifth Olympic ring did not light up as planned. Hey, these things happen. Sometimes rings and torches just don’t light, amirite Vancouver? We’ve all been there.
Last night’s closing ceremonies touched on the guffaw, with the thousands of dancers who volunteered to perform at the closing ceremony only making four Olympic rings for a few moments before fanning out into the fifth ring. So, Russia is funny now. This feels weird.
