So, Idol eh? It’s time to discuss.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, stop reading now cause I’ma spoil it major (not like you haven’t heard already anyway, amirite?)

First of all, what the funk??

Second of all, I don’t know about you, but that 80s night was FUN TIMES. Cynde Lauper!!! Lionel Richie?! Kara upstaging bikini girl with a fabulous voice and her own bikini?!? Santana? Drunk Rod Stewart! Holy f*ck, KISS WITH ADAM?!?! And then QUEEN?!?!? Excuse my over punctuation, but I mean, this show is light years ahead of what it used to be when it comes to industry pull.

Third of all, America, why are you so boring? Kris Allen?! Sure he’s a cutie, but he doesn’t have the chops or presence of performance to beat Adam Lambert – even he said so when he was announced as the winner (“Adam deserves this.”) But it’s cool, because after the Idol tour, Adam is free to do what he wants, while Kris will have certain contractual obligations with 19 Entertainment. Does the best person always win? No. But Kris seems like a good person – humble, gracious – so it’s nice to see good people reap rewards. But this was Adam’s game.

And I know Paula Abdul is crazy and all, but I kind of loved her standing up the whole 2 hours, having a grand ol’ time dancing to the tunes. What a card!
