Lately I keep hearing how everyone hates Jessica Alba. Why? The hilarious Michael Buckley over on What The Buck hates her because he just doesn’t “get” her. Latinos seem to hate her because even though she has a Latin last name, she feels she is fully American. Canadians seem to hate her because when she films up here she is apparently mean to the locals. I really had no opinion on her one way or the other.

Well, I was flipping through the channels this morning and I came across The Ellen Degeneres Show where she just happened to be introducing her next guest: Jessica Alba, promoting her new flick, Good Luck Chuck.

This I had to see.

What followed was an interview where Jessica was bubbly. She spoke about how she’s too busy to be going out to nightclubs all the time. That when she has some downtime, she likes to get together with friends and play cards and Jenga. She smiled a lot. Genuinely. And she had a dorky laugh which she let rip freely. Oh, and she also brought Ellen a bag full of penguin-themed underwear for her and Portia.

So, albeit somewhat bland, Jessica was polite, charming, humble, and pretty. Is that reason enough to hate?
