Indie darling Jenny Lewis to score Very Good Girls

We’re big fans of the now defunct band Rilo Kiley and so when we heard that frontwoman Jenny Lewis was set to score the upcoming film Very Good Girls we got really excited. The last time we chatted with Jenny was when she came to Toronto to talk rap with her boyfriend and Jenny and Johnny bandmate Jonathan Rice and we haven’t heard much from her since. But we’re excited for this opportunity for more Jenny as Very Good Girls ramps up for a 2013 release. Very Good Girls stars Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen who are best friends who make a pact to enter womanhood together (but fall in love with the same boy at the same time). Sounds like Jenny will be creating more music of the same ilk of her Rabbit Fur Coat album which she recorded with The Watson Twins.
