Here is a moment of shared honesty. It may be true that I’m not always a huge fan of every single artist or celebrity that I interview here at Muchmusic. Sad but true. Today, however, the gods of inspiration were looking out for me as I had a chance to sit down with Vice co-founder Suroosh Alvi.
If you’re a fan of Vice magazine or listen to the bands on their label, you’re in the right direction but let me push you further over the edge into the mythological boundary-free land of Vice: they’re going a little deeper than Do’s and Don’ts with the release of The Vice Guide To Travel.
The DVD follows their correspondents (including Johnny Knoxville, David Cross and co-founders) into the most uncharted and dangerous regions of the world from all night dance parties in the favelas of Rio de Jeniero and searching for dinosaurs in the Congo to visiting Pakistan’s tribal region in the world’s largest illegal arms market. Oh, and David Cross also chows down on dogmeat in Shanghai.
Sound intrigued? You should be. If you’ve always wanted to know what you’re scared to ask about some of the most depraved places on earth enjoy this, and remember exploration is the best form of education - just be careful, man!

PS: I love the Do’s and Don’ts too.
