Interscope wakes up and signs Skylar Grey

Skylar Grey, the woman singing the biggest hooks of the past year, has been signed to Interscope Records. Most recently, Grey has appeared on Dr. Dre and Eminem’s I Need a Doctor, Lupe Fiasco’s Words I Never Said, Diddy Dirty Money’s Coming Home and the original version of Eminem’s Love The Way You Lie.

While Grey isn’t new to the music industry, (she released Like Blood Like Honey under her real name Holly Brook in 2006) her resurgence as Skylar Grey has been done as an unsigned artist. In addition to signing with Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope, Grey has also signed with producer Alex Da Kid’s Wonerland Music. Grey and Da Kid worked together on Dre’s I Need a Doctor and Da Kid is slated to produce Grey’s upcoming album.

Fans can expect an album from Skylar Grey later this year. I’m calling it now – it’s going to be big, big, big.
