While you’re getting reacquainted with your fave Degrassi characters every Monday to Thursday night at 7:30 pm ET for Degrassi TMI, why not meet the new students that will be roaming the halls of Degrassi and bringing the drama when Season 11 returns with new episodes on Friday, February 24! For the next two weeks you have the chance to ‘interview’ two of the new grade nine students at Degrassi. We’ve already interviewed Alex Steele and Ricardo Hoyos and you can check that out here! Next up is Olivia Scriven who will be playing Maya when Degrassi returns with new episodes on Friday, February 24 at 9 pm ET!

Each week a different actor will be on Twitter starting at 8 pm ET on Wednesday and will answer questions on Twitter that @MuchDegrassi asks – but the questions are yours! Submit your questions in the comments section below and then make sure you’re following the cast of Degrassi and @MuchDegrassi to watch the Twitter-view go down Wednesday at 8 pm ET.

This week @MuchDegrassi will interview Olivia Scriven (@oliviascriven) who is playing Maya Matlin (Katie’s sister!). Maya is dreading grade nine because it puts her squarely in the shadow of her older sister, Katie — an already accomplished and established force at Degrassi. Having spent her life playing second fiddle, Maya’s desperate to carve out an identity of her own. At Degrassi she hopes to embrace her love for music by starting her own rock band. She cares about humanity and the world around her, doesn’t believe in the false construct of “popularity” and isn’t afraid to speak truth to power, even it means running afoul of classmates, her sister, her parents, or lands her in detention.
