Yelle talks about language barriers and the importance of fashion

France’s Yelle have experienced some remarkable success over the past few years, thanks to their bubbly, colourful dance pop. Despite singing en francais, Yelle (aka Julie Budet), have found that their music transcends any language barriers.

During an interview at Telegramme, Budet explained how Yelle’s North American fans have no trouble loving music they don’t understand, the animalistic meaning behind “Safari Disco Club,” her taste in fashion and the importance of what she wears on stage.
