Is Avril Lavigne getting married?

Is Avril Lavigne getting married? Probably not. But if she does a fan of the singer, named Jason Selvig, wants to be the guy waiting at the altar. Selvig has started a website on Kickstarter.com in hopes that he’ll be able to raise enough money through donations to travel to Los Angeles, where Lavigne lives with her boyfriend Brody Jenner, to propose to the Canadian singer. Selvig expects that he’ll need $5,000 for the trip and is up to a whopping $30 already.

In addition to proposing to Lavigne, Selvig is hoping this experience will also result in “a pretty awesome documentary short.” Essentially a dude wants to make a documentary and figures this is a good way to do it. I say go for it. Morgan Spurlock became an Oscar nominee by eating McDonalds for a month. Most ideas sound ridiculous in theory. Do your thang, Selvig. Just don’t expect a yes.
