Well all know Beyoncé is hot on pretty much every level. (Prove me wrong people, prove me wrong!) But is she too hot for television?
The Brits say “righty-o, indeed.” Well, at least before 7:30 p.m.
The Guardian reports that an advertisement for Beyoncé’s new fragrance, Heat, has been deemed “sexually provocative” and “unsuitable to be seen by young children.”
In the controversial ad, a mostly clothed Bey slowly slithers, thrusts and rubs herself down, but at no point suggests anything overtly related to sex. That’s not good enough though, says the Advertising Standards Authority.
After a number of concerned parents called in to complain, the ASA issued a statement reading, “Beyoncé’s body movements and the camera’s prolonged focus on shots of her dress slipping away to partially expose her breasts created a sexually provocative ad that was unsuitable to be seen by young children. We considered that the ad should not have been shown before 7:30 pm due to the sexually provocative nature of the imagery.”
Watch the ad below and decide for yourself. Considering the amount of sex and nudity on at that hour not just in North America, but also the UK, it’s a bit petty to complain about this perfume ad.
