Though neither Demi Lovato nor Wilmer Valderrama ever confirmed their relationship, media outlets have long since suspected that the two are dating. Well, it looks like the honeymoon is over. Yesterday, Demi sent out a few tweets to her followers that sound like the relationship between the two is no more, saying “The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man,” and “A wise girl kisses but doesn’t love, listens but doesn’t believe, and leaves before she is left.”

Over New Year’s the couple was partying in Las Vegas when Wilmer was photographed hanging out with Demi’s ex, Joe Jonas. If you remember, this is the same guy that Demi gushed about for months on talk shows and then was embarrassed by when Joe broke up with Demi while on tour with her and promptly began dating Twilight star Ashley Green. So ya, having her new boyfriend hang out with her ex might have kinda sucked.

Other outlets are citing the age difference between the two as the source of the breakup. Demi is 19 and former That 70′s Show actor Wilmer is 31.
