Justin Timberlake’s third solo album, The 20/20 Experience, will be officially released tomorrow, but according to The Roots drummer Questlove, it is just part one of two.
In a spoiler alert posted on Okayplayer message boards over the weekend, Questlove wrote, “20/20 Vol 2 comes out in Nov.” He said that Timberlake split twenty songs for both albums, with each having ten songs.
Questlove also wrote what he called constructive criticism of Timberlake’s latest. “I will say the album is overly ambitious, like a lot of ideas crammed into one,” said Questlove, with the word “overly” emphasized in capital letters. He added, “I admire the balls it took to make this record.”
The Sexy Back singer officially released The 20/20 Experience on iTunes last week. He starts his Legends of Summer tour with Jay-Z in Toronto on July 17.
What are your thoughts on The 20/20 Experience? Are you looking forward to possibly more new music from Justin?
