From Nelly and Tim McGraw to Slash and Ke$ha, sometimes music collaborations come out of the darnedest places. There’s a new show pitch for you, Bill Cosby. Musicians make the darnedest decisions. Today’s ‘Wha?’ collabo comes from Lil Wayne and Limp Bizkit. Yes, they’re still around. No, I don’t think their music has changed. Yes, Fred Durst is still strangely attractive. But I’m getting off topic.
Ready to Go is the title of the first song released by Limp Bizkit as part of Cash Money Records, the label owned and operated by Lil Wayne. That’s right, Limp Bizkit has signed to Cash Money. If you’re wondering how much instant cred costs, bring your bag full of Cash Money. Snaps.
Straight up, I can’t wait to hear this song. Limp Bizkit tracks have been my guilty pleasure since the 90s and now I can listen to them again without pretending their CD is being used as coaster on my desk (it’s not). Plus, think of Lil Wayne singing ‘Young Money’ and sub in ‘Limp Bizkit’. Works perfectly. Do not underestimate the genius that is Weezy.
