L.A. experimetal heroes Isis broke up two years ago, but they’ve left a pretty impressive legacy that has people talking about their new leftovers comp like it’s a proper sixth album. The 2CD/DVD Temporal contains a lot of demos and alternate versions, but it also has two very potent covers: Black Sabbath’s “Hand of Doom” and one of this blogger’s all-time favourite songs, “Streetcleaner” by Godflesh. Seems like a daunting task to take on Justin K. Broadrick’s punishing original, but Isis have the chops for such a thing.
