Take three actual guitar heroes, throw ‘em together in a room, and wait for, in the words of Jack White (of White Stripes fame), “probably a fist fight”. Okay, hopefully not (there are fragile guitars around!) but when you’ve got guitar legends like Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and U2’s The Edge involved, pretty much anything defined by the word “awesome” could happen.
Apparently what happened is producer Thomas Tull had a dream cast in mind for a documentary about how “the personification of contemporary music IS the guitar”, and then they all said yes. Now the movie includes rock geniuses from three generations, so you can even go see it with your dad and he’ll like it too.
I am super excited about this: I just wish I could have actually been there for the Plant/Edge/White jam session! Anybody who has ever loved a good rock guitar riff has got to see this movie. Well, see the trailer first, but then definitely check out the documentary when it hits theaters in August, unless you’re in NYC or LA in which case it’s August 14.

A big but easy to make mistake, you wrote “Plant/Edge/White” when it’s Page, of Zeppelin; not Plant.
