Hey guys what’s up? Sorry I know I keep saying I’ll blog more often, but I have been crazy busy with the MMVAs coming up. So again I apologize but hopefully things will smooth out a bit with my blogging plan after the awards. Speaking of the MMVA’s, I’m so excited - it’s going to be so much fun! I encourage anyone and everyone to come down cause it’s going to rock!
I’ve been busy with other shoots and shows lately too, and it’s so much fun. I was in Collingwood this past weekend but I can’t tell you why, you’ll have to wait and see. But what I can tell you about is the concert I went to last night: Dave Matthews Band … so good, they haven’t had a video out in a while but they are such a good band. Instrumentally they are amazing, and their live show sounds as good as the CD but better because it still has the live feeling.
I’d also like to talk to you guys about something serious. This is more Toronto based, but it really doesn’t have to be and shouldn’t be. I’m talking about the plans to build another fossil fuel burning power plant. They are in the middle of tearing down a coal burning plant here in Toronto and now there are plans to build a gas burning plant. It doesn’t make sense. If we are trying to make the air cleaner not only for Toronto, but for Canada, and for the rest of the world, then why are we building another fossil fuel plant instead of using wind or water to generate electricity? I know this sounds like a beauty pageant speech but it really is up to us youth of the nation to change it and make it our own, cause we are the ones that are going to have to live in it. And the reason why I’m addressing everyone in and out of Toronto is because it effects us all as a country and we need to let them know that we care. So head to www.stoptheplant.ca, read the info and hopefully there are some of you reading this that are as passionate about our wonderful country as I am and want to make it even better!
But to leave things on a higher note, MMVAs!!!! Haha sorry, it’s going to be so much fun. Thank you so much for reading this blog guys, it means a lot to me. And I feel this is a good way to let you know about things I can’t always get across on air. Not to mention I can talk about issues that we as young people should be aware of and part of. Take care everyone you rock!

Hey Tim
I think that i’m the only guy here! But i think it’s really cool that you care about the environment not a lot of people do so that’s cool. And i can’t go to the mmva’s because I don’t live in Toronto, that really sucks but have fun.

hey tim. it was a blast meeting you @ M.O.D back in may! you’re not the only one who’s insanely excited about the MMVAs–i am too–especially in the ‘independent video’ category. i hate the fact toronto wants a new power plant…just another way to ruin the ozone layer..
Tim,
I think that it’s great that you are using your status as a Muchmusic VJ to educate Canadians about serious issues arising in our country! I’ll totally check out the website myself!
Can’t make it Toronto myself (it’s 5 hours away!) but will be watching it on TV.
You’re doing a great job as the newest VJ Tim. You improve with every week! Keep up the great work and stay true to you!
Best wishes, Erin :0)
Tim! Wow first off, I think it’s really awesome that you would actually take the time to write about an issue in the world that us as youths really should be caring about by raising awareness in your blog. There’s not many people that would actually write about that and I think that’s one of the many reasons why you’re so special.
I can’t come down to the MMVAs but I’ll definitely be watching it on T.V! Watching you, mostly
Can’t wait to see what youre going to be wearing ’cause it looks really cool already in that segment with you and these designers designing youre suit
Love you~! Don’t ever change
Tim, the Toronto Energy Coalition would like to publicly thank for taking such a vigorous stand on the the proposed gas burning power plant on Toronto’s waterfront. You’re absolutely right when you say youth can make a difference and you’ll be happy to know they’re visiting our site and making their voices heard.
You’re making the world a cleaner, safer place and saving future lives in the process. Keep up the good work!
From all your friends and fans at stoptheplant.ca thank you, thank you, thank you.!!!
Tim, thanks for spreading the word about the giant power plant the Ontario government wants to build on the waterfront in Toronto. With all the illness and death caused by air pollution, and all the negative consequences of climate change, we need to send a message to our governments: no more new burning of fossil fuels. If you think breathable air is more important than air conditioning, then help stoptheplant.
hey tim! i would like to say that you are doing a great job being the newest vj. aswell, i think its a great thing that your raising awareness with youth issues and just stuff going on in our world. they should not be building a power plant its just going to pollute the air. and the first girl that posted is right you should have your own show to express your opinions! anyways i cant make it to the mmvas which sucks but i dont live in toronto so i cant go, but im excited to watch them, i cant wait to see what you are going to be wearing!! you have a blast at the mmvas and i’ll be having a blast watching at home!!
you rock. always be yourself never change!!

Hope u have fun at the MMVAs, I wanted to go today but I can’t make it. I have a question….do u have a girlfriend? I’ve been on some sites where people are arguing over if u have a girlfriend or not. Just wanted to get that cleared up. Anyways, you’re doing an AMAZING job as a Vj and I voted for u all the way!

nikki
Ohh ya!! i forgot to say that i think it’s great that you actually recognize Toronto’s invironmental issues! You just keep getting more and more perfect everyday lol!
nikki (*-*)
Hey guys…need some help here. I need to get out of work for mondays Stanley Cup game to watch the Oilers win it. Any origonal excuses i can use?
This has nothing to do with what Tim said oddly enough. I’m kinda just commenting on the way he types. I think it’s weird how when I read his typing you can get the jist of how he talks because it’s the same. I think that’s cool. Anyone else?
haha me 2!!!! I was thinking about that when i read his last blog!!
hey tim
i was just wondering if you have myspace or not
because on myspace there are like i dont know about like 10 people that are “you”
and its getting really annoying because if you really do have it no ones going to believe it because theres too many people pretending to be you
While it’s great that you’re passionate about this wonderful country, and you’ll be having “so much fun” doing VJ stuff, your opinions about power plants are pap rhetoric. Any sensible person knows that solar and wind powered generation can’t yet satisfy Ontario’s power requirements. We have to transition from coal and oil (and hydro, for that matter, which causes different but no less seriously ecological harm) to gas (which is not as harmful) until better options emerge. Just remember, no electricity = no TV = no VJs.
Rah rah oo la la rama ma la la gaga!

First off I have to say that I think it is so nice to see someone who cares so much not only about Toronto’s envrionment, but the country’s as well. To me that says alot about your character, and I think that you should have your own show on much so you can express these opinons. Secondly, I hope you have alot of fun at the MMVA’S, it should be a blast Unfortunatley I can’t go: I wihs you all the best of luck with that.
Take Care,
Jennifer Marie.
