Jack White’s not only working on releasing Jay-Z’s latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail on vinyl, it appears that the rock star might be gearing up to release some new music of his own.
Though White has stayed mum lately about his own work, he recently revealed to Rolling Stone that he has approximately two dozen songs already written for his various projects including The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and his own solo venture.
“We all live in Nashville now,” he says, explaining regular field trips he takes with his bandmates. “All The Raconteurs and all The Dead Weather live in Nashville now, so we often go on trips together, because we’re all just good pals. We’ve recorded some things, too. And Brendan (Benson) and The Raconteurs just built a new studio right in town, so it’s a lot of great inspiration going around.”
He goes on to say that he has 20 to 25 songs of his own solo material right now, adding that “people just keep writing and recording until I decide what it’s going to be. And I haven’t decided yet, so.”
So…we can’t wait!Tweet
