Jackson’s doctor accused of stopping CPR to hide drugs

A witness named Alberto Alvarez has come forward to claim that Conrad Murray stopped CPR on Michael Jackson in order to hide prescription drugs before paramedics arrived on the scene. Alvarez claims Murray hid the drugs – including an IV bag containing the sedative that was determined as Jackson’s cause of death – before even calling 911.

When Alvarez, a member of Jackson’s staff, came into the room he claims to have found Jackson with his mouth and eyes open, showing no signs of life. At this point Alvarez helped Murray give Jackson CPR but Alvarez claims Murray stopped CPR to hide several rubber-topped vials and an IV bag.

Alvarez’s statement, however, may not hold water as Murray’s lawyers claim Alvarez’s first statement contradicts his second. Murray’s lawyer told the Associated Press, “He didn’t say any of those things, then two months later, all of a sudden, the doc is throwing bottles into the bag.”

Murray is due in court on April 5th when a pre-trial hearing date will be set.
