Jacob Hoggard: Guest Blogger Extraordinaire

Blog blog blog eh. Months and months have gone by since we first sat ourselves down and convinced each other to stop touring long enough to put another CD together. Relenting to our own logic we came to the conclusion that “yes, it was a good idea to sit down and make a CD”.

Since that point we’ve gone through hundreds of demos, even more arguments, a fistful of hazy evenings and more fun than we’ve had in a long time. Blood, sweat, tears, jagermeister, cough syrup, sharpie ink and more jagermeister are just a few of the solutions that were briskly whipped into this record. And in the end we were more content than we ever thought we would be! And even as nervous and oftentimes angry the label was with Greig and myself for spending more time chasing each other with mayonnaise and building forts, they had to admit our genuine A.D.D. approach to this record worked!

Everyone we’ve been able to work with has been absolutely thrilled with the product we’ve made. From up to down, fast to slow, white to black and even hard to soft, this record truly encapsulates the fun, anguish, fun, stress, fun, passion, fun, anger, and fun that we had the whole process through. If I had to do this all again I can honestly say that I wouldn’t change a thing about this record. So happy. So excited.

Since then we’ve been starting the process all over again. Press, promo, travel, shows. Getting back to playing shows has been uber exciting and we’ve been having a complete riot doing it. Having already endured such extensive touring, this has been a snap! The fans have been so excited to see us, and in turn we’ve been elated to see them again. Even though it was only 8 months away, it seems like a lifetime and we are more than ready to take the world over one more time. I can’t guarantee anything for the next year or so, but I can be sure that we’ll have one hell of a time.

I’m gonna go take a cold bath and shave my arms just for the hell of it.
