James Bond is dead, Britney wants to lock her kids up and K Stew and R Patz do what to fans?

* Lindsay Lohan was served with a lawsuit while in court this morning to find out whether she would serve jail time for violating the terms of her probation. Maybe that’s why she rarely shows up for court! All this time I thought she was shady and apparently she’s simply a genius. No court = can’t find her and serve her.

* Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson showed up at a screening of Eclipse in LA over the weekend to surprise fans and thank them for seeing the film. I got a free issue of Scene Magazine when I saw the film…that’s pretty cool too, right? …dangit.

* In the article accompanying her (creepy head detached from body) front page spread on the August edition of Cosmo Magazine, Britney Spears said that she would not let her two boys get into showbiz. “If my sons told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I’d lock them in their rooms until they turned 30.” This could possibly be the smartest thing she’s ever said.

* Plans for James Bond 23 have officially self destructed. The film, which would have starred Daniel Craig and been directed by Sam Mendes, has been canned by MGM because of the studio’s financial difficulties. I bet James Bond could figure out how to raise the money for the film using a toothpick, a hair brush, and by blowing up 20 cars.
