Jay-Z & Alicia Keys to release “Empire State of Mind” sequel

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys have teamed up again for a sequel to “Empire State of Mind.”

The song’s success, which was adopted by the New York Yankees and performed at both the MTV VMAs and game two of the World Series last week, has inspired the duo to write “Empire State of Mind Part 2.”

Keys told MTV News that she was grateful for the chance to represent her hometown and that when the opportunity came up, they jumped right into the studio.

“Empire State of Mind Part 2″ will be featured on Alicia Keys’ new album, The Element of Freedom, which hits stores on December 15th.
