Jay-Z and Beyonce Land Spot on Billboard Power List

Jay-Z and Beyonce have re-emphasized their dynamic presence in pop culture by snagging a spot together on Billboard magazine’s first Power 100 chart. The list attempts to show the recording industry’s most influential people.

The power couple earned the spot at number 13, due to their success outside of their own careers as artists. Jay-Z has his Roc Nation music, management and entertainment company, and Beyonce has many sponsorship deals with brands such as L’Oreal.

The selected Power 100 individuals are chosen based on a combination of categories including money, market share, and Billboard chart data. The list can be seen at Billboard.biz, and also in the upcoming issue of the magazine on January 30.

By now, we kind of get it though. “Yes, they are a very powerful couple.”
