At least, those are the names on the current U.S. president’s wishlist for his re-election campaign Rolling Stone.com reported the list, which also includes Vampire Weeknd, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Will.i.am., George Clooney, Lady Antebellum, Jamie Foxx, Janelle Monae, Jack Johnson, The Roots and John Legend.
The wishlist was sent out to various campaign donors for celebrity endorsed appearances for his campaign. Having a celebrity endorsement isn’t new to the game, and many stars are proud of the platform of which ever leader they choose to follow. It also helps to have a star who believes in your agenda play at your public appearances, so it isn’t all speechy and preachy.
Jay-Z, Jamie Foxx and John Legend have already publicly endorsed Obama, while Mrs. Jay-Z sang at his official inauguration party in 2008.
Should all the names Obama has asked agree to help him get re-elected, then he’s got one helluva re-election campaign, wouldn’t you say? However, Entertainment Weekly already reported in an interview with Lady Antebellum that they will not affiliate themselves with any one political party.
Americans are set to hit the polls this November.
