Just two days after the birth of his first child with wife Beyonce, Jay-Z has released a song he penned for his daughter, Blue Ivy. Titled Glory feat. BIC, which stands for the child’s initials (Blue Ivy Carter), the track reveals more about the child of the music moguls than either of the two have shared publicly before.
In the lyrics, Jay-Z raps that this isn’t Beyonce’s first pregnancy, saying “Last time the miscarriage was so tragic / We was afraid you’d disappear/But nah baby, you magic”. Jay-Z also raps about where and when his daughter was conceived, saying “But you was made in Paris / And mama woke up the next day and shot her album package.” Not surprisingly, this is one of the softest and most emotional tracks we’ve heard from the MC. At the end of the song a baby can be heard crying. Could this be our first glimpse into the life of Blue Ivy?
