Jennifer Lawrence thanks MTV for giving her a start in acting

Every actor has to start somewhere and for Jennifer Lawrence, her start in acting came with Hilary Duff’s vocals blaring over top of her debut. While accepting her first SAG award last night for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer began her speech by thanking MTV.

Lawrence quickly explained the mention of the Music network, saying that she received her membership to the Screen Actors Guild after booking her first professional acting job in a commercial for My Super Sweet 16. And now we have the promo! Check out Katniss following the old tune ‘it’s my birthday and I’ll cry if I want to’.
