Jessica Simpson: Fashion Mogul

We’re loving Jessica Simpson’s big hair and hot photo on the cover of this week’s New York Magazine. Jess was recognized as a “fashion mogul” by the magazine thanks to her $1 billion clothing company, which produces jeans, shoes, purses and – most recently – a line of prom dresses.

The stylish star says she’s tried her best to make her line affordable, so that everyone can get a piece of the “Jessica Simpson” look. “A girl could go to the shopping mall with her mother and she’d have a great new outfit and still have some money left for lunch at McDonald’s,” Jess says. “She can look like Jessica Simpson, smell like Jessica Simpson, and she can afford it.”

As for her own style, she tells the magazine that she loves dressing up for events, but prefers comfy and casual when she’s at home. If it’s anything like the oversized shirt she’s wearing in the photoshoot, she should definitely add “sexy” to that list as well.
