Jessie J quits The Voice (UK) after one season

July 23rd, 2012

After just one season of The Voice (UK edition), singer Jessie J has quit the reality singing competition show. It’s believed that the singer quit because of busy tour schedules coinciding with the filming dates for the second season of the BBC One show but sources are claiming that her diva-like behaviour also led to her departure.

Insiders say that Jessie J angered show executives with her demanding ways, huge entourage and refusal to do press for the show. During an interview with chat show host Graham Norton, she also admitted to not bothering to watch her own show.

A source reveals that “Jessie J is only young. I hope in a few years she looks back on the way she behaved during the show and cringes.”

Fellow judge, Sir Tom Jones, has also quit the show despite winning the first season with his contestant, Leanne Mitchell.
