Only MuchMusic can induce heart palpitations and ear deafening decibels of this magnitude! The 2009 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS (aka the event of the year) is back, co-hosted by the Jonas Brothers. The larger than life trio, who have two platinum albums in Canada, return to Much HQ after leaving downtown Toronto in unprecedented ruins following the most insane LIVE@MUCH the nation has ever seen. Last July, 6,000+ screaming Jonas Brothers fans demonstrated their devotion, some lining up for more than two days to meet their idols.
The 2009 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS airs live Sunday, June 21.
In addition to their MMVAs co-hosting duties, the GRAMMY®-nominated band performs for the Jonas-crazy crowd the day after they open The Jonas Brothers 2009 World Tour, which has seven upcoming Canadian dates and has been selling out across North America and Europe. Their gotta-get new album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, out on June 15, gives the group new smash hits for the high-energy, music-packed, celeb-filled, live broadcast where celebrities have been known to go buck wild!

Usually they won’t announce till closer to the date because of course schedules can change etc. for musicians… They’re just going to start to confirm performers when they know they are for sure coming like the Jonas Brothers. So don’t worry just be patient! They will come in time!

oh my gosh! i am SO happy! They are hosting there 1st awards and it’s the MMVAs!!! They are so amazingly talented and i just love there music i would do ANYTHING to go! it would be like the highlight of my life to go. But anyways back to the Jonas Brothers!!! i cant believe they are really hosting it it is like unbelievable. I wish i could be as talented as them they inspire so many people and i am one of them!♥

Having the Jonas Brother’s host the MMVA’s is the worst idea MM has thought of to date. These idiot’s are sure to ruin the show. Considering MM is a Canadian television station owned by a Canadian broadcasting company they should stick to a Canadian musician instead of the stereotypical garbage that the American’s refer to as music.

The Jonas Brother’s should really stick to what they know, singing their annoying and ear bleeding songs. Their music sounds bad enough when it comes on the radio MM should really not toucher anyone who is crazy enough to watch the MMVA’s this year. Much is a Canadian station so perhaps they should stick with a Canadian host/co-host instead of picking three people who create the stereotypical garbage music that hundreds of bands have released before.

Oh grow up…. obviously their music can’t be “ear bleeding” if people actually like it. I understand the whole should stick with a Canadian host but come on if they want ratings the Jonas Brothers are probably the best way to go! I know some Americans that are even coming over to Canada just to watch it! They’re running low on VJ’s this year (lost Matt & Hannah) so why not get 3 of the hottest guys (even if you don’t think they are millions of other girls do) in the business right now?
Just because YOU don’t like their music doesn’t mean it’s garbage! No music is garbage! I absolutely HATE Coldplay WITH A PASSION! but guess what?! I don’t think their music is garbage because I know if someone out there likes them then they must not be! You are just saying that because they’re “Disney” but guess what they weren’t Disney at first like I said before up above. Can’t you just get over it and realize that just because you don’t like a certain genre of music that doesn’t make it’s garbage!
If you don’t watch the MMVA’s because of the Jonas Brothers than your an idiot (of course you name is “Stupid”…) Because it’s not just a show for the Jonas Brothers but MANY other musicians/bands that are celebrating for being nominated/winning. If your favorite bands going to be there because they’re nominated then watch it for THEM. You wouldn’t be a very good fan if you didn’t. You can endure the Jonas Brothers for about 3 hours trust me. They’ll only be playing 1 song anyways just like all the other musicians, so you don’t have to listen to their “ear bleeding” music. If you don’t want to listen flip the channel for a minute or two… that’s what I do when I see Coldplay at pretty much EVERY award show but I don’t mind!
So please grow up, watch the damn show, and be happy it’s only 3 hours got it?

Seriously if you can’t handle the fact that the jonas brothers are hosting and performing this years MMVAS, then don’t bother watching. We don’t care about your opinion anyways, cause it’s not affecting us or them in anyway. If you didn’t notice they ALWAYS have best INTERNATIONAL artist of the year. EVERY YEAR they do! Yes MuchMusic is a Canadian television show and owned by CTV but if you didn’t realize a lot of the music played on MOD, or any other shows on MuchMusic is american! That’s just how the entertainment world is! America is a BIG part of it! What the Jonas Brothers play IS MUSIC and there is absolutely NO possible way for you to say it’s not! If it wasn’t they’re songs wouldn’t be played on thousands of radio stations across North America and played on channels such as MuchMusic, MTV, etc. I bet you ANY money the music you listen too is stereotypical as well!
