Miley, Charlie and more!
January 6th, 2014
We’re already six days into the new year and you’re probably dying for some new music to replenish your playlist, but fear not, we’ve got a variety of new jams that will get you through the next little while. So whether you’re cuddling up at home and avoiding ice storms or trying to find something to motivate you out of bed and back to work or school, here are six new songs that will jazz up your January!
Silversun Pickups — Cannibal
A little over a decade into their career, L.A. band Silversun Pickups will be celebrating 2014 with a best-of compilation called The Singles Collection. Included on this collection, though, is a new track, Cannibal, which you can listen to below!
St. Vincent — Digital Witness
Our favourite guitar-wielding indie rocker St. Vincent is back with a new self-titled album next month and we have had her first single Birth In Reverse on repeat since it was released in December. Luckily, we’ve gotten another new track from the artist today, this one called Digital Witness, a grooving melody that’s bursting with blasts of horns.
Chromeo feat. Toro y Moi — Come Alive
Shake off the January blues with this infectious dance number from Canadian dance duo Chromeo. Come Alive features indie artist Toro y Moi and is a sparkling synth jam that’s perfect for fans of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
Foxes — Let Go For Tonight
Fans might remember Foxes from her 2013 appearance in Zedd’s megahit Clarity, but the British singer is gearing up for the March release of her debut album, Glorious. Hear a sneak peek of her album with the Florence and the Machine-esque Let Go For Tonight.
Ellie Goulding — Goodness Gracious
Ellie Goulding seems to be on a constant, steady spree of releasing new music. The Burn star celebrates 2014 with yet another synth-pop banger, Goodness Gracious – check it out below!
Vampire Weekend — Step (Wintertime remix feat. Danny Brown, Heems & Despot)
Vampire Weekend’s Modern Vampires of the City was regarded as one of the best albums of 2013, which we totally agree with. The band started the year off by putting out a special remix of their Modern Vampires cut Step featuring guest verses by Danny Brown, Heems and Despot.
