Nearly four years ago, Parisian production team Justice released their awe-inspiring debut album, †, and became mega stars, even getting their own documentary (A Cross the Universe) to prove it.
For the last couple of years it’s been pretty quiet on the Justice front, but a rather cryptic announce was made the other day announcing they’ll be releasing a brand new single called “Civilization.” While many people weren’t sure whether to believe it, the duo of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay confirmed it on their Facebook page, writing, “THE BEATING OF A MILLION DRUMS/THE FIRE OF A MILLION GUNS/THE MOTHER OF A MILLION SONS/”CIVILIZATION”/…First single of Justice’s upcoming album/04-04-11.”
Apparently this upcoming album is also done. According to Death From Above 1979/MSTRKRFT dude Jesse F. Keeler, “The new Justice record is done and from what they told me it sounds like a band practicing, actually just the other day. It’ll be very interesting to see how the music evolves,” he told 107.7 The End.
There was a teaser trailer posted with a snippet of the track, but it has since been removed by the band’s label, Because Music.
