Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres show today, Justin Bieber announced that he will be embarking on a North American tour in support of his Believe disc, set to be released on June 19. Beginning on September 29 in Arizona, Bieber’s Believe tour will take him to over 45 cities, including Canadian dates in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. While the majority of the tour stops will take place in arenas, Justin’s one stadium date will be in Toronto’s 50,000 person-capacity Rogers Centre on December 1.
Justin also announced that he will be taking BC native Carly Rae Jepsen on tour as his opener. Jepsen quickly rose to fame this year when Justin and his girlfriend Selena Gomez began tweeting their love for Carly Rae’s song Call Me Maybe. Justin also said that he will be taking a second ‘surprise’ act on the road with him, but has not released any details as of yet. The Believe tour wraps up in Miami on January 26. General ticket sales for the Canadian dates go on sale June 1st.Tweet
