Justin Timberlake confirmed rumours of a second installment to The 20/20 Experience at last night’s album release party in Los Angeles. The album, which was officially released today, will have a follow-up to be released later this year.
In response to the rumours that started after The Roots drummer Questlove leaked the information on Okayplayer message boards, Timberlake announced to the audience, “Those rumours are true.”
According to Questlove, the sequel to Timberlake’s third solo album, The 20/20 Experience, will be released in November and feature ten songs. However, Timberlake refused to reveal the release date after making the official announcement.
In other Justin Timberlake news, according to the New York Post, the Suit & Tie singer is in consideration to play Daddy Warbucks in the upcoming remake of Annie, produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith. If it works out, Timberlake would be acting opposite nine-year-old Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhané Wallis.
With an upcoming tour and two albums, 2013 is shaping up to be Justin Timberlake’s year and we’re looking forward every moment of it.
