Justin Timberlake is in the midst of his return to the music business, but the singer turned actor isn’t ready to leave the big screen just yet. Timberlake is planning on releasing a documentary that follows the making of his third solo album The 20/20 Experience, due out March 19.
Timberlake talked to Ryan Seacrest this week and explained that the teaser video posted to the singer’s site ealier this year announcing his return to music was actually part of the larger documentary. “That little piece of footage is from a documentary that we sort of started working on throughout the making of the album, which started last June,” Timberlake explained. “So, it’s more of just a little excerpt from that.”
It’s unclear as to whether the documentary will drop at the same times as Timberlake’s album, which features the single Suit and Tie with Jay-Z. Justin isn’t the only pop star releasing a documentary this year. Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce is making her directorial debut with Life Is But A Dream, airing February 16 on HBO.
Watch Justin Timberlake, along with Taylor Swift, One Direction, Mumford and Sons, Emeli Sande, Muse, Robbie Williams and Ben Howard when they perform at the 2013 Brit Awards on Wednesday, February 20 at 10E/7P on MUCH.
