Kaiser Chiefs North American Tour Cancelled

Remember a few months ago when I was raving about an upcoming Kaiser Chiefs show to be held at the beautiful Carlu here in Toronto on September 26?

Well I just noticed that it’s been cancelled. More info on Kaiser Chiefs’ official site - but the gist is that they had to cancel a bunch of North American dates (Detroit, Dallas, Toronto, Nashville, Houston and Atlanta) in order to focus on new material.

I think the real reason is that no one would pay $40 to see the Chiefs! I love those guys, but forty bucks? C’mon!

The fact that the show was 19+ here didn’t help, half the people I met at the last KC show were under 19…

true enough - their fanbase seems to be under 19 for the most part.
