Just when you thought his ego couldn’t get any bigger, a source close to Kanye West revealed to
The Huffington Post that a song from West’s upcoming album will be titled, I Am A God.
The original rumour had reports suggesting the album would be titled, I Am God, so I guess this is an improvement? “We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being,” the source told The Huffington Post.
West’s music collaborator and spoken word artist Malik Yusef also defended West on Twitter, tweeting, “It’s “I am (A) GOD” and referenced Psalms 82. The bible passage reads: “I said, ‘You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.’”
Who is honestly surprised by that headline? I find it humourous that the defense for West is that calling himself one of many gods is less egotistical than the originally rumoured title.
