Miley, Charlie and more!

It’s not always easy being a Kanye West fan. Most days are spent trying to guiltlessly enjoy the rapper’s impressive discography, while ignoring some of his offensive lyrics. Then there’s the public persona of Yeezy, which has included everything from comparing himself to Jesus, to not being able to take a joke of any kind, to stating he invented leather sweatpants, something no one should lay claim to.
Really, the years haven’t been kind to us Kanye fans. We must defend why he shouldn’t have to sacrifice his art every time he cancels a concert. Learning to love Kim Kardashian has been an adjustment for many. Ignoring the whole Jimmy Kimmel thing took a lot of restraint. But today, today is the day that Kanye West fans may celebrate without shame, for today is the day Kanye West went on a GOOD Twitter rant. Sorry, a G.O.O.D. Twitter rant.
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of his breakout debut album College Dropout, West took to Twitter to thank his fans, tweeting:
“Ten years ago today we finally released what had been my life’s work up to that point: The College Dropout. I say “finally” because it was a long road, a constant struggle, and a true labor of love to not only convince my peers and the public that I could be an artist, but to actually get that art out for the world to hear. I am extremely grateful to each and every person along that road who helped, lent an ear, lent their voice, gave their heart to that project, and to all the projects that followed, and are to come.
I am honored and humbled by my fans, for the unwavering support and love over the past ten years. I wake up every day trying to give something back to you that you can rock and be proud of.
Ten years later I am still the same kid from Chicago, still dreaming out loud, still banging on the door. The doors may be heavier, but I promise you WE WILL BREAK THEM.”
Aw, that was nice. On behalf of all Kanye fans, thank you Yeezy for giving us the day off.Tweet
