Katie Holmes adds fashion designer to her resume

Celebrity fashion lines usually aren’t the most fashion-forward collections in the business. That, and they’re usually collaborations with chain retailers. It’s an endless list; David Beckham and H&M, Miley Cyrus and Target, the list goes on. But with the release of Katie Holmes and stylist Jeanne Yang’s spring 2012 collection for Holmes & Yang, we’re sure to be impressed by something so high fashion.

The pieces are gorgeous with tons of hits at femininity, but also very strong and New York-chic. I’m loving that tiered black, floor-length gown styled with a very Burberry-inspired trench coat. Check the designs out at the source!
