Katy Perry Not The First Celeb To Be Featured In A Video Game

Electronic Arts announced last week the new collaboration between pop singer Katy Perry and The Sims. But this isn’t the first time a celebrity’s been featured in a video game. Perry will have her own themed content and online accessories, including clothing, hairstyles, and props. “Today marks the start of the most integrated and exciting collaboration with any artist in the history of The Sims,” said Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of Music for EA.

 But the singer follows a few notable figures in the realm of video game appearances. Phil Collins sings and appears in the 1980′s Grand Theft Auto- Vice City Stories, and Burt Reynolds plays a commanding officer in Saints Row the Third. Not to mention Snoop Dogg as a character in True Crime: Streets of LA.

I could totally see Snoop-a-loop making a virtual cameo appearance for a second collaboration with Perry. Gin n’ Juice and all.
