Katy Perry releases shocking teaser trailer for Part of Me

Well. I did not see that coming. If you had given me a million guesses as to what kind of video Katy Perry would make for her latest single Part of Me and gave me hints like ‘rhymes with Smarmy’ and ‘she’s in uniform’ and ‘it’s a video about Katy Perry being in the army’ I still don’t think I would have guessed correctly.

The teaser trailer for Perry’s Part of Me music video, which is being released in full on March 21, shows the singer in full combat gear complete with helicopters, tanks and scenes of basic training. I think most people assumed the video would show the break down of a relationship and possibly reference Perry’s recent break up with husband Russell Brand.

But it looks like Perry is going in a completely unexpected direction and I’m excited to see the video in its finished form. For now check out the teaser trailer for Part of Me below.
