Waking up in Vegas? More like waking up in Thailand.

According to The Daily Mail, girl-kisser Katy Perry and UK comedian Russell Brand have begun a whirlwind romance.

The couple first met at last year’s 2008 MTV VMAs, but apparently dove right into a fling at Lady Gaga’s VMAs after party.

Following that they took off on a secret two-week romantic getaway to Thailand.

Perry tweeted about the vacation and gave the public a clue when she admitted she had “After a week in magical Thailand I’m ready 2 face the real world again. Been schooled on Morrissey, Oscar Wilde & Peter Sellers… inspired.” Brand is a known fan of all three British icons.

Yesterday she added more fuel to the fire when she left an ambiguous tweet that read: “pssst… I’ve got a secret. HUGE news coming in a couple days!!! No, my ego is not prego.”

Whether they go public or not, we’ll see the two of them smooch next year when Brand’s Get Him To The Greek hits theatres. Perry makes a cameo in the film, which finds Brand reprising his Forgetting Sarah Marshall role as rocker Aldous Snow.
