Katy Perry says her new album will be “darker”

Don’t expect Katy Perry to ever pull an Adele and write an entire record about heartbreak. The singer, who recently finalized her divorce with comedian Russell Brand, reveals that her third album will be much “darker” than her last album, Teenage Dream, but not necessarily sad.
“I’d never devote a whole record to heartbreak,” she says, in an interview with Capital FM. “I’m happy, I’m in a good place, I’m looking forward to my future.”
Do expect Perry to be very candid and open about her life, though, as she goes on to add, “I would love to just let it be the black box of who I am.”
