Katy Perry Teases About Her New Single

Katy Perry says her new single “California Gurls,” will be a response to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.”
Katy is back with producer Dr. Luke who also produced her hits “I Kissed A Girl” and “Hot N Cold” along with Max Martin for this single. The song, featuring Snoop Dogg, comes out on May 25th and is being hyped as the song of the summer. If the title itself is the perfect formula for a summer song—California plus Girls plus hip spelling = summer hit.
Katy also tweeted about the cover art, “Shooting the cover for the single off the new record today. There couldn’t be more color.”
