Katy Perry might be living a teenage dream, but she doesn’t dream of being famous. In the May issue of Teen Vogue, Katy reveals that she’s over the excess of fame. “I’m tired of being famous already!” she admits. “But I’m not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It’s quite a delicate creature — it’s a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you.”

Thankfully for fans, she’s not letting the fame beast get the best of her. This July she’s releasing Katy Perry: Part of Me, a 3D concert movie where we’ll get an insider’s look into her life as a star and experience her Teenage Dream tour. Perry also tells Teen Vogue, “I wanted to document the tour, because when we started to book these really big venues, I felt like I was going all in.” She continues, “I wanted to show people this parade that surrounds me … I wanted them to see the engine.”

Fans will also see a different side to the Part of Me singer who is currently working on her next album. Katy told The Sun, “My music is about to get real f**king dark.” Until then we can look forward to Katy Perry: Part of Me, which will be released Fourth of July weekend.
