Katy Perry’s famous spinning peppermint bra is being banned by tour insurers after the garment caused an embarrassing moment for the pop star onstage. During a recent show, Perry’s hair got caught on the spinning devices, but instead of stopping, she continued to perform.

She told The Sun, “My hair got caught in the wheels of my spinning peppermint bra and began to coil around and around. I’m forced to just go with it so, by the end of the song, it looked quite like I was licking my own tit. What a girl does for her art.” Awkward!

Although Perry doesn’t think that a serious injury will ever come out of this, tour insurers freaked out and have now banned her from wearing the peppermint bra. She adds, “I keep being told the insurers are worried I will injure my neck. I seriously doubt it could be lethal, but they want a new bra designed that will not allow hair to be caught up.”

Perry seems to have quite the obsession with strange bras, though, from cupcakes to canisters that squirt out whipped cream (from the California Gurls video, watch below), but who knew peppermint would be the most dangerous of them all!
