Kellan Lutz poster boy for pet adoption

Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz is the face of a new PETA campaign encouraging people to adopt pets.

Posing with his dog Kola, Lutz says it’s important to help the large number of unclaimed animals. “There are countless numbers of animals out there. It’s our job to take them under our wing.”

According to PETA, “Each year, more than 7 million dogs and cats are left at animal shelters in the U.S.—and nearly half of those must be euthanized because of a lack of good homes.”

Kellan also shot a video delivering a personal message of support (see below).
